Powering visibility for cross-chain USDC transfers with the Circle CCTP Explorer
Our USDC Explorer and Intelligence API provide a reliable data layer that powers transaction tracking, investigations, compliance, and in-app transfer status for users of Circle's USDC stablecoin.

As stablecoins become the default settlement layer for onchain finance, the operational complexity behind moving dollars across chains has increased significantly. Users, exchanges, and protocols rely on USDC to move value between ecosystems, but the underlying mechanics of cross-chain transfers are often opaque. This challenge is most visible with Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP), where transfers involve coordinated burn-and-mint flows across independent networks.
To address this gap, Range built the USDC Explorer, the only purpose-built explorer for tracking Circle’s CCTP transfers end-to-end, across all supported chains, including Solana, Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Sui, HyerEVM and more. While published independently, the explorer has become core infrastructure used daily by Circle users, investigators, and compliance teams.
Why was a dedicated CCTP Explorer needed?
CCTP was designed to remove many of the risks associated with traditional bridges by enabling native USDC transfers without wrapped assets or pooled liquidity. The protocol works by burning USDC on the source chain, generating an off-chain attestation through Circle's attestation service that proves the burn occurred, and then minting an equivalent amount of native USDC on the destination chain. However, this multi-step architecture introduces new visibility challenges.
A single user action spans multiple chains, contracts, and attestation services, often leaving users unsure whether their burn has been confirmed or whether minting has finalized on the destination chain.
Before the CCTP Explorer, there was no single place to reliably answer questions like:
Has my USDC been burned on the source chain?
Has minting occurred on the destination chain?
Is the transfer delayed, or does it require intervention?
Which transaction hashes across chains belong to the same transfer?
The Range USDC Explorer was built to solve these problems directly by providing a unified, transaction-level view of every CCTP transfer.
What our USDC Explorer does
The explorer tracks the full lifecycle of USDC transfers over CCTP across all supported networks. It correlates onchain events across source and destination chains and presents them as a single, coherent transfer record.
Key capabilities include:
End-to-end tracking of CCTP transfers, including burn and mint events across chains
Clear transaction status indicators for pending, completed, and failed transfers
Direct links to the underlying onchain transactions on each network
Historical search by wallet address or transaction hash
Support for both CCTP v1 and CCTP v2 protocols
This makes the USDC Explorer the only dedicated tool designed specifically for native stablecoin transfers across chains.
Supporting users, investigators, and compliance teams
While the most visible users of the explorer are retail and institutional users tracking their USDC transfers, its impact extends well beyond basic user experience.
Investigators and security teams use the explorer to trace USDC flows across chains during incident response and post-mortem analysis. Because CCTP transfers involve native USDC on both chains, accurate, correlated records across chains are critical for reconstructing fund movements
Compliance and risk teams rely on the same dataset to verify provenance, monitor large transfers, and support audit and reporting workflows. The explorer provides an auditable trail of USDC movement that is difficult to reconstruct manually from individual chain explorers.
From Explorer to Intelligence API
The CCTP Explorer is built on the same data infrastructure that powers our Intelligence API, which exposes structured CCTP transfer data directly to product teams.
DeFi protocols and centralized exchanges integrate this API to embed the real-time status of USDC transfers within their applications. Common use cases include:
Showing users the live status of USDC deposits and withdrawals
Automating support workflows for delayed or failed transfers
Reconciling cross-chain balances and settlement events
Powering internal monitoring, compliance, and reporting systems
By embedding CCTP intelligence directly into apps, teams reduce user confusion, support overhead, and operational risk.
Infrastructure for cross-chain stablecoins
The Circle CCTP Explorer reflects a broader shift in stablecoin infrastructure. As USDC becomes increasingly embedded across chains, visibility, observability, and data access are no longer optional. Explorers alone are insufficient; teams need reliable, programmatic access to cross-chain transaction truth.
We built the CCTP Explorer and Intelligence API to meet this need, providing a single source of truth for native USDC movement across ecosystems, backed by production-grade indexing and cross-chain correlation. We also operate explorer.money, the first dedicated stablecoin explorer tracking nearly 200 stablecoins across all chains and bridges. This broader stablecoin data is also accessible through the Intelligence API, enabling teams to monitor USDT, DAI, USDe, and other stablecoin flows alongside USDC transfers.
If you're building an app that handles USDC deposits, withdrawals, or cross-chain flows, you can integrate this data directly into your product today. Review the Intelligence API documentation to see available endpoints, or get in touch to use this data in your application.

About Range
Range is the leading intelligence and risk platform for cross-chain stablecoin infrastructure, trusted by the Solana Foundation, Circle, Stellar, dYdX, Squads and more. We provide the compliance, risk, and routing systems behind the next generation of onchain payments and applications.
Used by fintechs, protocols, and DeFi teams, Faraday is our transaction engine that enables cross-chain routing, compliance enforcement, and real-time risk monitoring through a single API. Our Stablecoin Explorer at explorer.money - the first of its kind - tracks almost 200 stablecoins across all chains and bridges.
We also provide the security layer behind some of the most sensitive infrastructure on Solana. Our Solana Transaction Security Standard, protects programs, accounts and treasuries worth over $30b, while our Risk API and Onchain Risk Verifier enable privacy-focused apps on Solana to stay compliant.
Whether you're building programmable treasuries or privacy flows, Range helps ensure they're safe, compliant, and ready for scale.
